Childhood home is an architectural heritage

I just discovered that 188 Tanjong Katong Road (above), my childhood home from birth to age fifteen (in 1970), is part of the Tanjong Katong Conservation Area,  officially declared on Dec 1, 2003. My appreciation is due to the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore for ensuring that a part of my past will be conserved. A very commendable effort, indeed.

It is also my good fortune that the site has not been rebuilt in the intervening thirty-three years.

Remembrance of texts past

With no thought of preserving used textbooks during my junior college days, this is one of the few textbooks from those times that has remained with me  for these thirty eight years.
